Mary has lived in Raleigh since 1981 and Downtown since 1991. She finished up at NC State with degrees in Forestry (useful in the Sahel during a three-year stint in the Peace Corps) and Economics. Prior to embarking on her real estate career, she worked in international development where she travelled all over the world. Afterward, she enjoyed being a stay-at -home parent/volunteer while holding some very interesting part-time jobs! Mary has watched Raleigh develop into one of the consistently rated Best Places to Live/Work/Enjoy cities and truly believes the accolades are well-deserved.
She loves the outdoors and has completed Triathlons and Road Races (just finished the Krispy Kreme Challenge (carrying what she didn’t eat!)) and charity bike rides. She strives to keep the plants in garden alive and flourishing despite several busy dogs in the yard. Her bucket list includes taking a music festival tour with her now grown daughter one of these summers (will be looking for a used very small RV)!
Mary enjoys getting to know her clients and learning what they need and want in a home. Just as important, she fosters ongoing relationships, long after the sale has closed, by providing renovation information, assisting them in finding a great contractor, or just keeping folks aware of Downtown and city-wide happenings. She is comfortable with working with people from all around the world who want to make Raleigh, and the environs, home.
If you are a buyer, Mary’s goal is to assist you in finding the perfect place to live in one of the best places to Live. If selling, Mary will strive to help sell your home for the best price and terms possible so that you can move on to your next destination with peace of mind!
